Battle for the Pride Lands

Kion leads the assault on Scar's army. They fight against Reirei's Pack of jackals, Kiburi's Float of and Mzingo's Parliament of vultures as Kion and the Guard and Chiku's Guard-in training aim for the volcano. Scar orders Shupavu's Group of skinks to slow them down, all to give the impression that they don't want both Lion Guards to reach him. The Lion Guard soon enters the volcano, and make their way to Scar. Scar orders Ushari to charge at Kion, resulting in a scar of the young lion's own as Shujaa and Kibo run to the aid of their father and uncle while Chiku and Uzani look up at the evil firey spirit of Scar. Scar then proceeds to taunt Kion with Jasiri's signature catchphrase: "Sisi ni sawa", to convince Kion how alike they are, but both of Kion's cubs, Shujaa and Uzani growl at Scar and confront him that their father is nothing like him and he would never be. Fuli steps forward to rest her tail on Uzani's shoulder signalling her apprentice to back down and stay silent as Beshte nudges Shujaa to give him a hand with his father as Kion struggles to regain his footing with the help of his hippo friend and his son. Mufasa's voice suddenly rings in Kion's mind, reminding him not to fight fire with fire. Kion refutes Scar's remark, and, finally realizing what his grandfather meant offers Scar his forgiveness, much to Scar's shock.

Kion steps forward towards the edge to stand next to his niece. In a powerful voice full of authority and pity he tells Scar that he cannot judge him for his previous actions in everything and that only the Lions of the Past can do it. He turns back to look at Chiku and asks for her assistance. Both Lion Guard leaders of Present and Future they each take a deep breath and blows softly to the air, prompting the Great Lions to appear in the sky. They send down rain from the heavens that vanquish Scar away, but not before he warns Kion and Chiku both that the Roar is a curse. Desperate, Ushari tries to avenge Scar by attacking Chiku this time, but Bunga tackles him into the lava. Ono saves Bunga from falling to his death, but Ushari meets his demise in the lava pool below. With Scar gone for good and everything seems to be back to normal Chiku joins her brother and both Kibo and his sister nuzzle each other while Uzani and Shujaa stand on either side of their father rub their heads against Kion's legs but Kion isn't quite his normal self. Kion falters as if he is destined to turn evil too as his scar begins to hurt. Kion rubs at his scarred eye and shakes the weird feeling away as he smiles down his daughter and nuzzles her then ruffles Shujaa's small tuft of his maroon mane.
