An Invitation to Kupatana.

It was getting close to yet another Kupatana celebration in the Pride Lands and messenger birds where being sent out to neighboring kingdoms for all the animals and the respective royal families of those kingdoms. But nobody had thought of inviting the snow leopards that lived up in the highest regions of Theluji Mountains. Past the caves where King Sokwe and his troop of gorillas resided. Not one pridelander had ever thought of inviting them as they where a type of feline that lived a solitude lifestyle and prefered to keep up a superior attitude to any rivaling feline species especially the snow lions that resided in the Theluji Mountains as well. But Kibo had been able to make a friend with a particular snow leopard while he fell down into a crevice. That was an awful night for him as he had broken his paw in the fall but she had gone against her nature as a snow leopard and helped him in his time of need and wanted to thank her personally by inviting her to they're Kupatana celebration. Kibo looked around for a dark silvery pelt and striking ice blue eyes in the snowy landscape until he saw her walking around the bend his face brightened in joy at the sight of his friend.

Kibo: "Baridi! I'm so glad to have found you!"

Baridi: "Kibo? What are you doing all the way up here!?"

She seemed stunned but kept looking over her shoulder as she looks back at Kibo with unexpected worry in her eyes. 

Kibo: "I just wanted to say thank you personally and invite you to my family's Kupatana celebration for the day. Will you come?"

Baridi: "I'll think about it, Kibo but you really shouldn't be here right now. My brother is--"

???: "Any sign of that blue sheep, Baridi? I swear if you scared it off I'm gonna claw your ears off."

Another snow leopard a much muscular one and with a piercing deep glacier blue stare and he stood unimpressed at the sight before him. 

???: "Baridi why are you mingling with a lion cub and one from the Pride Lands at that? You, boy! What are you even doing up here in the first place?"

Seeing that Kibo wasn't welcomed here he decided to take a hint and leave.

Kibo: "Oh nothing of any importance! I was just leaving!" Kibo looks at Baridi once more. "Remember what I said!" He winked at her and sped out of there as fast as he could.

???: "What was that about?"

Baridi: "It's really none of your business! Now help me look for that blue sheep we were tracking."

The two snow leopard siblings continued on with their hunt as Kibo looked back once more.

Kibo: "I hope you can come, Baridi my mother wants to thank you personally for saving my life."

With that Kibo pounced away down the snowy slopes and straight home to Pride Rock.
