A Reunion With the Enemy

One afternoon Rani was sitting under the shade of a large tree while trying to keep Shani and Baraka Kion had been laying next to his wife but unfortunately there where some sightings of mysterious lions that had been found roaming around at the boarder the last few days and Ono had come to fetch the king. Rani said she would be alright alone and would be on her way back to the tree in a little while. When Kion left with Ono to go and investigate Rani proceeded to wash Shani than Baraka but just as she finished up washing her daughter but before she could lap her tongue over Baraka a strange silver-white lion a striking grey-silvery mane came strolling out of the bushes. Rani eyed him in surprise than the flashes started to come. The predecessors before Rani came to be queen of the tree, her parents laying dead before her. A pride of white lions standing over them proudly each wearing spots of red all over their pelts all except for their leader and king. Queen Janna exiling the snow lions from their home for the murder of her eldest son, King Sãhasí and Queen Ãnanda. Her former betrothed, Vihar fighting with her sister, Amani. As Rani came back out of her thoughts she started to growl at Vihar as she protected Shani and Baraka from the snow lion.

Vihar: "My darling, Rani... Is that anyway to greet an old friend?"

Rani: "Vihar... You treacherous bastard! Why are you here?!"

Vihar: "I came to congratulate you, Rani on your newest bundles of joy. Is that them you have there?"

Vihar tried to take a peek at the two cubs but Rani snarled at him protecting Shani and Baraka from the evil lion.

Rani: "That's far enough! Back away NOW!"

Vihar: "I have no intention of harming your cubs dear sweet Rani. Please forgive me if I have frightened you." 

Rani: "Like how your father never meant to harm my parent?!"

Vihar: "That was seasons ago. Jado has completed his journey in the circle of life and the Winter Pride is in much better leadership than we where under leadership of my father."

Rani: "You're the king now?"

Vihar: "Yes my dearest! And I've also come with a request for you and I really hope you will accept."

Rani: "What request?" Rani raised an eyebrow suspiciously as she looked at him with utter caution in her eyes.

Vihar: "Please reconsider the merging of our two kingdoms. It has been many seasons but never for one day not one day did my love for you ever die. I love you, Rani please be my queen. It's awful lonely in those cold mountains ruling alone and we can rule together down here in your beautiful kingdom. We--"

Rani: "I'm sorry, Vihar... But I'm afraid I have to deny your request. You see I'm already married to a lion that I love very much."

Vihar stopped midsentence and looked at Rani as shock filled his eyes.

Rani: "I'm so sorry... Maybe in a different universe it would have worked and you and I would be ruling together but so much damage has already happened that cannot be repaired."

Vihar began to turn around now his back facing her and his claw slid out as he gritted his face in anger.

Vihar: "Does your "King" have a name...?" He said as quietly as possible as he glared straight ahead.     

Rani: "...Kion... His name is Kion..."

Vihar: "Kion..." Vihar growled the new with as much vile as he could muster.

Rani: "I hope you can find happiness in wherever life may guide you, Vihar."

Vihar: "Oh I know where it will lead me my dear... I will be taking my leave than."

Rani: "You take care."

Vihar: "You too..."

With that Vihar took off running through the lush forests full of vengeance and hate for this "Kion" and he would find out everything about Kion before he could finally make his move. When Vihar reached his mountain home he roared a bellowing loud roar to the heavens that echoed for miles releasing all the anger and sadness that had been locked away in his heart for years. No more Vihar was tired of always feeling guilty for everything. He loved Rani and he wanted to have her as his forever and always and that first started finding out about Kion as much as possible before he made his move.
