A Fun Day at the Beach

It was a special time at the Tree of Life not only was the kingdom celebrating the recent birth of Princess Shani but it was marking 5 full seasons since Queen Rani had come to claim the throne as hers and King Kion's children through his former mate, Tiifu. And Maua had decided to make her way down to Dragon Island where some of the rarest of flowers known to animal kind only grew. Shujaa had decided to accompany the Healer-in-Training for some protection from the residing Komodo dragons that lived on the island. Nirmala, Maua's mother had instructed Maua to pick the best of the best most rare flowers for Rani's crown she was to wear on the anniversary of her coronation. As she was plucking the flowers Shujaa decided to take this time to go for a swim in the ocean. He loved the water after all a lot more than any lion in his entire family this was probably his mentor, Beshte was a hippo and him and Shujaa would often go swimming together back in the Pride Lands. As Shujaa resurfaced he looked to the young lioness he had taken a fancying to. As Shujaa swam over in Maua's direction he kept his lower half hidden underwater as he swam ever so closer Maua was just putting the last of her rare specimens into her satchel and low and behold the next thing she knew she was being tugged into the ocean by Shujaa who silently snuck up onto her. She screamed as she was pulled in. She resurfaced a moment later from the shock of the coldness and make her way out back to shore a cold and shivering wreck as Shujaa followed the healer trainee out of the water smirking. Maua turned back she glared at Shujaa at first but a sly smirk appeared across her face and just the same she pushed Shujaa over the edge and back into the water before picking up her satchel of rare flowers and running away from Shujaa. Shujaa surfaced and chased after the young lioness as the two teens where laughing the entire way.
