Dullahan

The headless horseman from Irish mythology, the Dullahan had a few peculiarities not carried over by later versions of the story.  For example, his gaping, mad smile, his fear of gold.  Oh, and his whip made from a spine, which is insanely metal.  Love it!

In making mine I was originally going to make it gorier, but I decided that since it is actually a fairy and NOT an undead spirit it didn't need to be bloody or dripping with gore.  I also thought it'd be interesting to dress him as a cuirassier, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I really imagine spirits such as this can manifest as they please, and so if he wanted to dress like a cuirassier who the hell could stop him?

I toyed with possibilities for this spirit for awhile; should I go with the traditional look?  Or more a more modern interpretation somewhat like Ghost Rider or even Celty from Durarara?  I admit, I'm a big fan of Celty, but I finally decided to stick with the traditional view, though I'm sure he could appear riding a black motorcycle if he so wished.  Or she, I don't see any reason they'd actually be gender specific.
