Hellfire Pulse Cannon

After a year of glacial progress, I have finally finished my sci-fi spacecraft, now known as the Hellfire Pulse Cannon. Capable of traversing both air and space, the adjustable rings focus the plasma pulses for maximum damage at a given distance.

Looking back, this was rather ambitious for my 3rd go at digital painting, with complex shapes, shading, and shadows. My initial sketch is quite distorted compared to the final, and it took a lot of revisions and some help from friends along the way. There's still room for improvement (and the background is borrowed), but I want to call it finished and I have a lot of other work to do.
