You need only look into those bedroom eyes of his, however, to realize the lazy personality is just a ruse. He's a thinker, a plotter, though we're not quite sure just yet what he's plotting. For all his kindness, we don't turn our backs on this one...

In the few starts our dark angel, Intuned, raced against the boys, there was always one colt challenging her lead down the stretch. He was a gorgeous colt, with a beautiful body and even prettier head, with a unique blaze that seemed to be his calling card. "Watch out for the one with the blaze," opponents said. "He'll take you by surprise."

And he did. Like any good little soldier, this colt worked his way up in the ranks from Claimer to Grade I winner, hitting every level inbetween before moving onto the next step.

Challenger's Gold, they called him, and God, he seemed perfect to us.

Thus, when we heard through the grapevine that his elderly owners were closing up shop and selling all their stock, we shoved our way through the masses and dropped a cool $18 mil without blinking. Then, with his gorgeous hide newly wrapped in BCC blue, we carted him home with one great big mutual smile.
