Father and Daughter + Cover Outdoor Photographer

A father fox with his daughter. During the first years that I studied foxes, I mostly saw female caregivers: mothers and their sisters or daughters from previous litters. So I was genuinely surprised when I first saw a male fox taking part in raising the cubs. And I quickly had to let go of my assumptions. Male foxes may parent a little more roughly (being somewhat stronger), but they do it with exactly the same love. The most beautiful proof came when I saw this father fox watching his playful daughter with his head tilted to one side. You could almost hear him whisper, “Aww.” Fox emancipation is a fact!
