Fascinating shot here thrum, quite amazed at what your camera is able to capture in such a precise moment such as this, wow!

Don't know much to do with photography but this is something that I heard a deviant photographer call a perfect shot.  Can't imagine your own level of patience but being able to stop yourself and see all the beauty that you can capture on film in just a tiny instant must be overwhelming at times.

In the very least this guy was on his way through his usual day and you were sitting idly by keeping a sight out for something unique.  That itself makes the bee stand out more, with those softer green color of the field and just the way the bee and its dark black and yellow focuses the image.

Love though the fact you even included the name of the flower you were watching this guy do his work and even really just as amazing is seeing the weight and shift of the bees as he makes his flight.  Never would have thought you were able to capture the wings so well and even if they are touch blurry the rest of the and even his head just came out looking really breathtaking.

Like most of all about this pic is again the bee in focus and I know I'm pointing out the obvious but hear me.  In the image here you have the background maybe smudged or perhaps it came out that way but all the same it works very well so that you don't lose trace of the litte guy with some many countless heads of other flowers or other pieces of the environment to take away from the scene.  You can still tell the warm look of summer and the rich look of the green but all the same there's something tiny in the middle of it.

Great job and hats off to you Thrumyeye, you got a great eye yourself on photography.

Thanks for your extended amd interesting comment.....
It's true: Looking through a lens  makes you see things you wouldn't have seen otherwise and it can be quite impressive indeed D:
The movement of the wings is shown due to a relatively low shutterspeed. I could have 'frozen' the wings as well, but I like the suggestion of movement in the photo.
The background isn't blurred afterwards. I use prime lenses with a nice, narrow DOF, that softens most elements that aren't in focus.

Best,
Roeselien

Thanks for sharing back this reply back and going into some more detail about the photo and that of the lens and what amazing things can be seen like our little friend here.  I'm sorry I didn't catch on about the who blurred part with the background, I'm not much one for using a camera except when at a convention but all the same its an amazing effect and how it creates the focus on where it needs to count.

Either way, take care and do keep that camera going strong there thrum! *tips hat*
