Wow... that is exeptionally well done. The details are amazing, and I love how the colors are all so soft, and go together so well.
And very interesting concept, too. I love the entire thing. Good work :)

You're quite welcome. Your entire gallery is wonderful... really impressed me. You've got such skills in digital painting... something I should really work on.
Hmm.. I've noticed that about more.. muted colour, as well. I personally love the look of it. And in my oppinion it's always best to just go with what you like, and then see what others might think of the result.

yea thanks, I have slowed down considerably, as i have lost a great deal of interest in painting at the moment. Unless i can fnd a way to paint faster for myself, 55hrs is too draining.

Thanks very much Digiavalon, I'm really glad you like it :D.

This is very interesting. Ever since I discovered your work I've been very intrigued. The shapes and structures you use are somehow similar to the ones I draw or paint -- those semi-organic landscape forms -- and in this piece description the notion of a living landscape is somehow .. trigerring. Very, very good. And I think it would be very interesting if you keep it up towards that direction.

Choice, thanks very much eilidh. Yea i find Organic structures semi/fully, something i focus on in narrating the story. It seems only a few people can actually read that story, or find the interest in them.

Owell i'm glad something triggered in you whilst you viewed this ^^. Thats great thanks for letting me know!.

Have a good one Eilidh

Hey thanks rachel, i'd thought you'd like the bigger version. Question?, did this message just pop through now?. i submitted on the same night i did to epilogue (over a week back).

Still thanks very much for the wishes for expose, you too!.

You mean did the picture just show up now? No, i think it showed up a week ago, i am really bad at commenting on art in my watch list. It sometimes takes me even longer than a week. I am lame like that ;)

'tis great! continuing the "organic-ness" of your paintings. the spotlight-ish light coming from the thing on the right

The rainbow colors are amazing in this Marley.
It is a bit as if you mixed some of Antifans influence with your own very original style.
Everything flows so wonderful - great concept :)

I was really inspired by Antifan (don't tell him :P) and halo2's cinematic appeal. Before i started, i sat down and just stared at gary's nimbus image. Shit, i was jealous. i felt as if i had to at least challenge myself to reach his level of awesomeness. so thats what this piece is about. trying to set a technical standard for myself. And boy did i learn heaps .

does that sound like cheese?

Thanks very much Kyena

No it's not cheesy at all - I think you did indeed a great heap - this looks more realistic then your other pieces. I really love both of your "styles".

Smashing work Marley hope you go really well in that competition thing with it... just one thing tho... your name, date and copyright is perhaps just a touch too big in the bottom left corner and it detracts just a bit from the rest of the work.
Just mentioning this cos it was the first thing I noticed when I looked at the full view.

Thanks mate ;). Yes i know what you mean about the siggy, I put this up blatantly on my larger works now as i have had my art stolen in the past, so I'm in a once bitten twice shy situation where i'm not so worried about it's uglyness ;). hehehe

Thanks very much Matt, much appreciated!.

Great shot, but I agree with the comment about it being too murkey. If it were darker, it would be really cool IMHO.

Its a bit too mirky for my great liking, but it has my general liking. I think you should add a bit more activity into the picture aswell.

Yea agreed on all accounts Iokra, i had ships flying through the portal at one stage. but i edited them out because it was just too time consuming to get a flow going for the picture, so i took em out, and don't get me started on the colours :P hahaha, yes that was an aspect i am forever battling, not so much colour choice, but their intensity.

thanks very much for the crit, always appreciated ;)

ahh Ok, but thats still a fault because i still managed to mimic that look without actually using that low opacity haha, i just labelled that problem as a lack of intensity in the colours, I especially noticed it for the general colour of the sky (not the colourfull bits, but the dark navyish blue) And also because lately i have been comparing my art to others. and i have no idea how people can get such rich palettes(where mine seem hazy), So i guess that what i thought you were meaning.

have a good one

Ermm..hm. I dont paint at all (photoshop or even irl i hate it) so i wouldnt know much about it..otherwise i would help. Painting in photoshop is something that turns out very well but its also one of those things i just cant do =P

No noooo! The colors are FINE its just it looks like you have a layer set with a low opacity over the picture thats making it very mirky. Thats the only problem. THe lack of ships is a minor problem thats easily updatable.
