Laylow's Claw - Work in Progress

So this is a project I'm currently working on at school. We've had to read a book (Twilight Robbery by Frances Hardinge) and choose an object from it to make as a prop, we were also given a list of production styles to choose from, of which I chose SOVIET, so yeah, fun. not done anything like this before so learning a lot.

The claws are going to be fully articulated and cable operated when it's all done, so far what we have here is two fibreglass parts with an aluminium gelcoat and various bits of aluminium I've chopped up, the bolts here are placeholders for the moment.
