Baelevar : Place of Guardians by Thomas-Rey Baelevar : Place of Guardians by Thomas-Rey
Here's a map I just finished, it's for a private table top RPG party. It's part of a bigger world that's still to be mapped.

The details in this are amazing.  I especially like the map markers, the line art for the mountains and oceans, and the composition of the piece is phenomenal.  I especially love the line art on the banner.  Very well made.

Very good map! How do you make those mountains?

Thanks ;)
About the mountains, a lot of observation of other maps made by talented artists and a lot of practice. Technically, the main ridge is a slightly jagged line, thinner at the bottom if possible. the I use the jagged parts as the source of the secondary ridges (slightly smaller brush). Last part is shading. There's no miracle recipe, you gotta draw some, over and over again until you're satisfied with what you draw.
