Is that a battery pack in front of the handgrip?

Gauss Rifles are a funny concept, and fun to draw, too :)
Very nicely done! Really like it.

Well, I think they work, given a high-density enough power source. They are cool looking.

Nicely done. Don't think I've seen you tackle a subject like this in digital 2D before?

I did a series of weapons for the GURPS Traveller basic book--but only in black and white. This is the furthest I've taken an illo of this nature. I just always liked the Bill Keith/ Grenadier Gauss Rifle, and I wanted to put my own spin on it.

Based on the gauss rifle from S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? Interesting take on that design.

Never seen S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Sounds like that one might be based on THIS design, which was circa 1980. This was part of the paper RPG Traveller.

I want one!
I'll name her Vera II. :D

I think Vera might have been more versatile--but THIS one will operate just fine in hard vacuum! :D

Forgive me if I start giggling at the futuristic rifle grenade. ;)

Yeah, there are some funny anachronisms in the Traveller universe...:D

Right up there with the 1980s Action Movies' "Hero Handgun" that can turn any escaping bad-guy car into a vast fireball of righteous death... but which never runs out of ammunition and never has any recoil?

Rifle grenades are like every little kid's dream ever. "Let's take a GUN and make it a GRENADE GUN! AWESOME! Oh wait this doesn't work at all as intended!" D:
