Zombold

i’m working on a homebrew zombie race for dnd, this little guy is my test subject! he’s a zombie kobold and i love him <3

He was once a kobold warrior. He had a wife and three eggs close to hatching. He was one of the cleverest little trap makers in the clan. The tunnels were invaded by drow. There were too many of them. They had to use their last resort, a magical trap built a wizard they’d captured before. He and several others ran to get to it, but they were all nearly killed. He was the last one standing. He activated the trap. It killed him.

He woke up.
The trap had hit him with a wave of radiant damage, killing him and scorching his scales, then a blast of necrotic energy that brought him and many others back as zombies to guard the area. He wandered, guarding-Until he found her.
His wife had been killed, and had not been revived. He recognized her. It hurt. He sat and guarded her. She was more important than his purpose. He can’t remember most things. But he remembers her. He remembers hurting. He wants it to stop. He wants to see her alive again.

basically his goal is to find someone or something that can bring him and his clan (especially his wife) back to life. unfortunately his int modifier is -4 and he basically just wanders around following and obeying anyone he thinks might be a friend rather than actually finding any way to accomplish his goal. he can also barely talk.
