a DnD character I based on these prompts by corvidprompts (also used the dialogue from one in the picture)

he’s a bard, and pretends to be human. he’s a homebrew race I made a bit ago that I thought was perfect for him. they’re basically human in most ways, but they’re ageless and have one main personality trait or ideal that dictates the rest of their identity, their name and in some cases their biology. they can’t understand anything that contradicts that ideal, Courage can’t understand Cowardice and Law can’t understand Chaos. his trait makes him need to travel around, see and experience as much as he can, and record that information (usually in the form of a song or poem.) his name is Record and if you cut him open all you’d find is crumpled up pages of unfinished songs, stories and poetry, no organs or muscle or bone.

he’s typically friendly, confident and charismatic, but can be incredibly insensitive and apathetic. he’s watched cities burn and done nothing but sing about the smell of ash and smoke, the sound of screams and crackling wood, and the tragedy of it all. he interferes when he feels it’s necessary to his survival or could make for a better story, but he likes to be a silent (and creepy) observer.
