A little piece I did a while back. Done with Watercolor and Acrylics on Rives BFK paper. I don't have it with me, but I think the original is slightly larger than this image.

Oh, wow! I think this has to be one of my favourites of yours! You are so universally talented, I'm envious!!
This is so beautiful, I especially love the skin tones, and the butterflies and the colours... and everything! I love the shape you have painted it within too. Did I mention that I love this?

Awesome. If I may ask, what is your general process for this medium? Is it a graphite sketch, then watercolor, then acrylics at the end for highlights/opaques?

In this particular piece, I used watercolor as the first wash to lay down some color over the sketch. Then I just used Acrylic exclusively. I thinned it down though, to a watercolor consistency and then painted a thin layer at a time. At the end, I used a little white to bring back the light.

Very interesting. So many processes to try, so little time! Thanks very much for the reply. I look forward to seeing more of your incredible work.

I LOVE you for doing trad media.

I also love you for the fact that this looks like it could have come straight out of a Victorian fairy book. It's got such class, and is so masterful in its execution, that I'm just blown away. PLEASE more trad art!!
