Mucha Lucha (c) Eddie Mort and Lili Chin

These three were my cartoon childhood heroes, as ridiculous as that sounds...I think every animation fan has at least one cartoon from childhood that sticks to them like glue. Mucha Lucha is that cartoon for me. No matter how old I get, no matter how many years have passed, or how much I've changed, this is one of those set-in-stone constants: I'll always love this iffily animated, somewhat offensive, but incredibly wacky, zany, over-the-top, and fun cartoon.

This is pretty much the illustrated version of my headcanon for these three as older teens/young adults.

The Flea: The strange, eccentric ones grow up to be even stranger and more eccentric. The Flea has graduated from his worst archnemesis being an evil toilet to aliens he claims track his every move and want to dissect him. The Flea has turned heel and redeemed himself at least three more different times since the room 207 incident. He has started working at his family's restaurant, discovering an untapped talent and potential for cooking. And, much to everyone's chagrin, he grew and maintains a handlebar mustache, if only for his own personal enjoyment and gloating/scheming moments in life (I think a certain somebody I know inspired the mustache...If you see this, forgive me!). Teenage Flea is absurdly fascinated and enamored by his increased body hair; he's trying to find a way to incorporate it into his image and gimmick as a wrestler.

Rikochet: Out of the three, I think Rik would have the most issues with teenage self-discovery and identity. If an idiot could mistake him for his father Lone Star at age ten (that's his canonical age according to the Wiki), then the issue would only get worse the older he gets. Similar costume and physique, Rik is more often called "Lone Star the Second" and "Lone Star Junior" than Rikochet. He doesn't want to abandon the red, blue, and silver color scheme due to it being a coveted family tradition, but he changes his costume design and move sets quite often. The Flea has recommended countless times that Rik grow a mustache, but Rik doesn't really like the idea of one extra cleaning ritual to add to his daily routine (he also has a sneaking suspicion that Penny would start hitting on him mercilessly). Above all else, he still has a one-track-mind; every day, he's still aiming for his ultimate goal. By now, though, he's only single digit years away from his ultimate goal rather than double digits.

Buena Girl: She's the most physically strong of the trio (though Rik very begrudgingly admits this). While Rik is stricken with identity issues, BG has more and more moments of wanting to be rebellious, a risk-taker, and living outside of the lines. She's become an adrenaline junkie, participating in feats such as skydiving and hiking, but ardently refusing to break the Code or her tight-laced, by-the-book mask wrestler life. She has a thing for bad boys and a recurring on-again, off-again crush on the Flea (She tends to be either accepted or rebuffed, depending on his fickle mood at the time). Her theme as a wrestler has become more and more based on, mired, and inspired by her Slamazonian heritage.

[One of my favorite childhood shows. I like your interpretation of the three main characters as teens/young adults.]
