Titanogorgon maximus by Theropsida Titanogorgon maximus by Theropsida
Gorgonopsia
Locality: Tanzania
Period: Upper Permian

Titanogorgon was probably the largest african gorgonopsid known, with a huge skull 50 cm long , it was able to bite with great force even to crunch through bone (there are remains of gorgonopsids coprolites that contained chunks of bone), it was likely that it feed on the abundant fauna of Ruhuhu formation.

Gorgonopsia
Localidad: Tanzania
Periodo: Permico Tardio

Interesting, where does Leogorgon stand in the size ranking of gorgonopsids?

Leogorgon remains are just a small skull portion, the estimated total length of the skull is 70cm, 10cm more than the largest Inostrancevia skulls, perhaps a creature about 3.5m-4m.Gorgonopsids werent as large as the popular belief...
