Boy, how long has it been since I wrote a personal journal on DA? Well over a decade at this point. Considering the state of the site, though, I thought it might be worth it to post an update for anyone who might be interested. I don't blame all of the people I've followed for so long for leaving DA. The site is an absolute hollow shell of what it used to be, even just five years ago, and it continues to get worse and worse over time. Even so, I don't plan on leaving unless (or perhaps until) it becomes totally unusable. Why? I've made DeviantArt my online home since about 2011; as of this writing, that is thirteen years, which is also half my life. You can imagine I'm very attached to the name for the great memories and experiences I had before the big Eclipse update shattered everything. Quite frankly, even if DA is terrible compared to its former self, none of the alternatives truly work for me as a total replacement. Even so, I find myself less enthused than ever to use DA as of
