Watching.
I watch your moments so carefully
As they flicker past your window.
You every poise-filled shift and sway
in a seamless, perfected flow.
I can't help but stare
and wish that I was there.
I imagine that we're lovers
Whenever I'm alone.
I wish I could just keep you
locked up and all my own,
Like my special lucky charm.
I could keep you safe from harm.
I'd stifle all your screams
So only I could hear
To make sure you stay mine.
They'd never find you, dear.
No matter what I do,
I'd never damage you.
I can hide you from the world,
In my darkest fantasies.
But for now I only watch,
As you dance with grace and ease.
I smile as you shift and sway
Then my tires crunch and drive away.

My darling Little Lamb
Little lamb, little lamb
Let me come in
To leave me outside is committing a sin
Little lamb, little lamb
So lonely and sad
Your shepherd ran off and I'm all that you had
Little lamb, little lamb
I know what you'll do
Lock up the house when I'm looking for you
Little lamb, little lamb,
You know I won't bite
These teeth are for grinning I'm much too polite
Little lamb, little lamb
You thought that I left
Deprived of my presence, abandoned, bereft
Little lamb, little lamb,
I know you're afraid
Like once long before, must I serenade?
Little lamb, little lamb,
Light sucked from the day
Remember I always chase monsters away
Little Lamb, little Lamb
Your senses renowned
Only you knew what the shepherd had found
Little lamb, little lamb
My intent had been swayed
Together we sat and my nature betrayed
Little lamb, little lamb
What mother lamb had sought
To lead you away, she'd try, she had thought
Little lamb, little lamb
I know you had cried
When Shepherd had said that your mother lamb died

Little Red
Little Red
Innocent intentions,
To Grandmother's house she'll go.
She's traveled through the springtime,
She's traveled through the snow.
The day was one of autumn,
With leafs from gold to gray.
She threw her caution to the wind,
And for this she would pay.
For a stranger met her eye,
On that harvest day.
And though she knew she shouldn't,
She told him of her way.
"I'm going to my grandma's,
To bring some cakes and wine."
The stranger smiled quite slyly,
Thinking it was fine.
And just like that he disappeared,
All signs of him were gone,
Sensing there was danger,
Little Red walked on.
Many things could happen next,
We'll never really know.
Some versions rise in triumph,
And others fall in woe.
But I think there's a stranger there,
Inside the grandma's home.
And after a substantial meal,
The stranger, he will roam.
He's looking for another taste,
So fill your hearts with dread.
And wonder if that little hood,
Was always a blood red.

Shadows
Slipping of the bed
Floating over the floor
Scratching at the window
Sliding under the door.
Fading in the dark
Appearing in the light
Making things look different
Laying in bed at night
Darkness of the soul
Revealed in the black
Walking down the dark street
Better watch your back
Shadows follow your every move
Doing all you do
Never being noticed enough
To become…a part…of you…

One late fall night
One late, fall night, as winter neared,
on my way home, a wind appeared,
its touch was like the grave, and bold,
so in all haste, I homeward veered.
My steps were dogged with leaves of gold,
as naked trees proclaimed the cold
with banshee wails of great despair,
until I cringed within my hold.
Their cries were more than I could bear,
and so I hid beneath my stairs,
among the cobwebs and the dust.
I prayed that they'd not find me there.
But I could hear my fate discussed:
they sought my soul to sate their lust.
And so, in fear, I fled the halls,
in hopes to lose them 'neath the crust.
But in the dark I took a fall,
and thumped against my cellar wall,
and with the sound a silence fell,
and suddenly I felt so small.
The noise had been my deathly knell.
I watched the walls around me swell,
and as the roots burst through the brick,
I wished I could have said farewell.

The Story: Preface.
It was winter, when you met me that day.
Your bus was running late,
So I offered you a ride, and we spoke all the way.
I laid my traps, watching you take the bait.
Your eyes were green, your hair was red;
But as I went to leave you, you invited me to your bed.
Through pursed lips I smiled, following you to your door;
Standing behind you, as I went for my knife- my heart became sore.
I held the handle, tight as could be
But with all my might, my arm did not agree.
You looked back with a smile, undressed and without flaw.
When we were finished, I had to withdraw.
Far too beautiful, too honest was she,
I left her with only one mark, where no one would ever see.
My chest swelled when I looked back at her, so still;
She was the only one that I could not bear to kill.
