On Sunday, October 20th at 10:20pm, writer, Marcus Nicholas Almand transitioned and earned his wings. From above, I know he's smiling and appreciating all of the beautiful messages, photos, and art that you have sent his way. Thank you for all of the prayers and support that you have given. Throughout the last month he was in the hospital, he had a great deal of pain but that didn't keep him from having a sense of humor. He will be missed. Well, long story short, there was too much of it on my small intestine (which I need to live) to go through with surgery. The doctor is looking up alternatives and will get back to me on Monday.
I wish things had gone better, but they also could have been much worse, so kinda have to deal with the grind and go with what I've got.
Okay... Tomorrow's the big day. I'm heading to the hospital for surgery at 5:30 am. If all goes well, they should be cutting out all the cancer they find, then administering one of two possible types of chemo. After that it's around 6 days in the hospital, followed by a little over a month
Gonna be at San Diego Comic-Con this year! I'll probably be bumming around the Oni Press booth on and off (on account of the secret project I can't talk about but CAN show art from, oddly enough).
