Darn, I can't use those cool journal skins anymore. I let my premium membership go a long time ago (I think they call it CORE now).
Yeah I haven't updated since like two years ago. I think. So here we are. I will now tell you why I have been out for years.
It's been hard to come back to this place since Joelglaine died. I miss seeing his CG art and the wonderful stories to go with. That shit kept me alive through college and work, kept me laughing and dreaming and hoping even when things seemed bleak. I miss him badly.
It doesn't help that dA says that he's been away for 51 weeks. I know he's been dead for seven years. No telling if someone's logged in through his profile about a year ago or if dA's just bonkers. My only guess is that his computer found a new home after he died and someone logged in under his name. Sigh.
Anyway, as time goes on, I'm slowly making peace with his passing. I'll be ok. I just hope that wherever he is, the awesome folk from the Four Sisters adventure are there with him, saving the universe and eating "great big chickenz."
Second to all that, I've just been busy with work and have not done a lot of art. I am actively moving to change that, pushing forward and drawing whenever I can. I'll post the highlights here later.
The good news is that I'm quitting my job as head housekeeper at the bed and breakfast inn where I work. My next leg of the journey is the art career I've been dreaming of doing. I'm turning 30 next year. I don't want to spend another eight years cleaning toilets and making beds.
Guess that was it. I've missed this place. I'll be seeing more of you guys. It's about time I returned.
