(After all the re-drafting I did to submit 'Foresworn' for beta reading two weeks ago, which demanded about three weeks of uninterrupted writing all day and night, I needed a cool-down; but now it's back to the grind stone!)

Blocking: This Might Be A Hot Take
I'm getting to the point where, because AI slop is so omnipresent on his shambling, cannibalistic facsimile of what DA used to be, that blocking someone isn't even a political gesture. It's usually just a method to remove unwanted artists permanently from my feed. I mostly apply it to fetish artists; because, yes, I'm well aware DA has, in theory, guidelines on abusive and underage smut, just as I'm aware that, in theory, it also has mods dedicated to examining and irradicating said smut, but life in theory wildly diverges from life in practice. At this point in my ten plus year tenure on this site, it's too tiresome arguing why something is or isn't abusive, even illegal, especially when the OC is heavily stylized and artificially generated.
No, instead of pissing my life away writing reports no one ever reads, I've just resolved to block anybody submitting anything I personally deem to be abusive or CP; but it doesn't just end there. I'm perfectly at peace just blocking an artist
Mea Culpa Time
I started preproduction for my Youtube channel was far back as 2023....it's 2026, and I'm still grinding away, trying to get the legacy assets done so I can learn Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere, and wwwhatever recording software I need to learn (enough) to edit and nest my audio. (I mean, I'm not that bothered by the prospect of having to get a white belt in these other programs, because, at one point, I was commercially certified to use the software reserved for feature length film production; so, absolutely: I have the chops to learn a much more user-friendly variation of the same software, enough to do a Youtube show.) I'm honestly not bothered about that---what bothers me is time...! How much of it has elapsed since I started this goddamn project.
I know I could get the channel ready and launched by July this year, I know I could; if I could just knuckle down and do the work, but, it's just...why is being consistently productive such a hard ask!? Why can't I just

When September bolted headfirst into October, with me with no party plans for my favorite time of year, I yanked the emergency brake on my channel's production and focused on trying (and failing) to organize a neighborhood potluck for Halloween night. Hence all the flier shit on my profile; I was posting here so I could copy-paste my WIP's to my friend for her approval; before I finally paid a place to print up the fliers so I could post them around my neighborhood. Again, for a potluck that never got off the ground, because I set up a server for the party planning on Discord, and the boomers in my neighborhood had no idea what Discord was; took it for some bizarrely region-specific scam; and threw my fliers, the ones i slaved over, in the trash.
Thankfully, a preexisting potluck was already underway and, by posting fliers, I met its members who warmly invited me to bring food and candy to the festivities; so, yeah: at least I didn't spend Halloween just
