The Hound of the King

In my "low" fantasy 'Foresworn', the holy body guard of the High King is known as "The Hound". 
 Since "the Hound" abandons their surname, the title refers to the reigning king, so, if the King's name is Liam, the Hound is called "An Cu-Liam" in Gallic, which means "The Hound of Liam." The main character of the story Cu-Hullin, Hound of the Red-Handed King, Hullin MacCormack. (This character is not, I repeat, NOT based on The Hound from 'Game of Thrones'. The Ulster Cycle predates that character by the 12th century.)
