Bard Avatar

Yup! This is him, the Tiefling Bard for my future (the NEAR future!) YouTube channel (the name of which I'm determined to not have prematurely swiped, sooo I'm not saying its title here). The style of the show is an animated story time channel, with expressive frames of the character that will feature in multiple videos al'a Den of the Drake, Library of Kooh, Sabersparks, Overly Sarcastic Productions, etc. I don't have any intention of having every frame feature this much detail--the design will be simplified for gesture and expression --but this is my template for how detailed his outfit CAN be; before adding things like his instruments and weapons. 

 The backstory of the character is he's a seafaring bard on the good ship Hawkwind; taught his trade by Capt. Morgan Stormbringer. My visual inspirations for his rock star persona were guys like Robert Plant, Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Anderson and David Bowie. 


The setting for his stories is the Forgotten Realms in the multiverse of 'Dungeons and Dragons', but I'd love, down the line, to have his bonfire stay the same but his background to feature random, exotic, otherworldly locales in the multiverse; like the bizarre Feywild, or the Circles of fiery Avernus; or the Demon Webs of Lolth, the spider queen; or Lovecraft's Dreamlands; or Vance's Dying Earth, etc.
