Description
I focused less on swiping the exact same lines into place and focused more on the logic behind the lines; what Raymond was forced by his medium to do. Once again, I realized his propensity for piggy backing off preexisting lines; as well as his tendency to approximate line weight when he swiped his felt tip pen.
For the line weight I used Kyle's #1 brush with the pressure sensitivity flipped on.
All round artists, and great ones like Ramond, merely suggest a foundation with pencil to make a placeholder on which to finish. Unlike in the industry today, they don't finish in pencil and then trace over in ink. Raymond composed the panel with blanks, then drew and finished in ink. To artists like this it is not about lines, but about achieving the right tones, textures and patterns to suggest forms.
