3-11-2022 Structure+Exp Study

This is just the most recent study; there's more to go over, like the line art, but I'm mostly focusing on the structure and expression today. I chose this specifically for its saucy sense of humor in its line theory--complimenting the curves of the subject with razor-thin and playful thick strokes. Also the color theory of the drawing itself is the kind of approachable style for character designs I'm trying to develop, because I do want to incorporate colors in my character designs and fan art. (I think this specific comic is a touch too saturated for my tastes, but that's an easy fix; I'll just trace and color this piece and then do a second version with a more organic palette.
