'Just A Block Of Concrete' Triptych

This isn't street art anymore, it's just a block of concrete now.

This piece was inspired by yet another Banksy piece (No Ball Games) being cut out from the street the other week, which reignited the debate about who owns street art and what value a piece may have when it's removed from it's context. This triptych obviously alludes to another piece by Banksy and is a sort of sequel to my 'Heisting...' piece.

I cast the concrete by hand and made the incisions with a disc-cutter. So brilliant to be able to work on a new material that can take some punishment and abuse! Definitely more of this to come. My favourite little detail is the dragged line in the last scene where the slab has been hurriedly pulled away from the scene of the crime.

These are indeed solid concrete and weigh a relatively ridiculous amount but worldwide shipping is included in the price.
