My Bio

Hi I’m Adam, you might remember me by my orange hat! I am an illustrator, author, and art educator. I have a BFA in painting and drawing from the School of Art and Design at Kennesaw State University. My work has been shown and sold in Atlanta including the Swan Coach House Gallery and the Georgia Lawyers for the Arts’ Annual Gala, DragonCon, published in The Sketchbook Project World Tour, and featured on Disney’s BoardWalk.

I am most proud of my work as a children’s book illustrator and author. I love creating characters and the world in which they live and play. My new book, Samuel Shootingstar is now available for preorder at jumpmaster.com/shootingstar

Library Demos

1 min read
Last week I did four illustration presentations for the Northwest Georgia Regional Library System. I showed the kids illustrations from my book Samuel Shootingstar and then taught them to draw their own aliens based on sea creatures! We had a lot of fun at each of the four locations I visited. The library featured me in a short interview in the Dalton newspaper. Did you ever lose someone you thought would always be there?  That's what happened to my mom. She was diagnosed with cancer, and a year later she was gone. Sometimes I worry that I took her for granted. I hope she never felt that way; I hope she knew I loved her.  I didn't know I would miss her this much, and if I'm feeling this way now, I can't imagine how my dad feels. It's been two months, but it does not feel like it's been that long. I know I'll see her again in Heaven, but that's a long time from now...well maybe...you never know do you?  I guess that's my point--enjoy the time you have with someone; dont wish time away, and don't take
