Last week I did four illustration presentations for the Northwest Georgia Regional Library System. I showed the kids illustrations from my book Samuel Shootingstar and then taught them to draw their own aliens based on sea creatures! We had a lot of fun at each of the four locations I visited. I really don't have anything to say....

Did you ever lose someone you thought would always be there?  That's what happened to my mom. She was diagnosed with cancer, and a year later she was gone. Sometimes I worry that I took her for granted. I hope she never felt that way; I hope she knew I loved her.  I didn't know I would miss her this much, and if I'm feeling this way now, I can't imagine how my dad feels. It's been two months, but it does not feel like it's been that long. I know I'll see her again in Heaven, but that's a long time from now...well maybe...you never know do you?  I guess that's my point--enjoy the time you have with someone; dont wish time away, and don't ta...
