Pyrography
This is a little wedding gift I made for my friend ~SaxonwithAxe who got married on July 27th of this year. I wanted to make her something special, and as I had gotten a little wood burning kit last Christmas, I thought I might try and do some pyrography.
She likes lots of Celtic styles of art, so I wanted to incorporate that into the design. In this image, she and her husband are chasing down a stag with their faithful dog, while two angels hold up a sun-disk with a symbolic design of the Trinity and a Cross in the center.
I must say, I enjoy wood-burning quite a lot, and it's definitely something I'd like to get more into. It's like pumpkin carving except that it lasts a whole lot longer!
So I'm sure you'll see more of these from me in time.
