Saddle - A common marking, Saddle is present on top of a Felvarg's shoulders but may also extend to taper off just before the haunches in a loose "v" shape. It can be any color natural to the base coat, and may be with or without breakaway flecks on the backside of the marking.

Fields displayed in red are required to be present regardless of marking use. It must be present somewhere in the red range to pass. Saddle cannot be present in the grey ranges as they are an illegal marking range.
Saddle must be present in the red range; so long as the saddle is easily visible, it will pass. Saddle is made up of a single solid color and must remain natural to the base coat in color. Saddle must have hard edges. Saddle can have uneven patchy ends that break off the bottom of the original marking, however the breakaways must be easily distinguishable as belonging to saddle.

SADDLE GUIDELINES
- In order to pass Saddle must be present in the red range in some way, it does NOT need to cover the entire range.
- Field displayed in blue is optional and display the maximum allowance for the marking.
- Fields in grey are illegal ranges.

Saddle is allowed to have patchy breaks from the marking, as shown below. However, they must come from the "bottom"/end of saddle--they may not appear at the beginning of the marking.
GOOD EXAMPLES OF SADDLE
As you can see the red range is present in the yellow marking placement. These are all good examples of saddle and will pass with ease. Remember not to place stray ticks on the top of saddle, only its sides/bottom end can have bits tapering off.
