OVERLAY

(Ol active) (OL dominant)

Overlay - A common marking that blankets the upper part of a Felvarg's body in either a lighter or a darker natural color than the base. Overlay must have defined edges.

RULES

Fields displayed in red are required to be present regardless of marking use. It must be present somewhere in the red range to pass.

Fields in blue are optional and display the maximum allowance for the marking.

Overlay should be a solid marking with no holes, you can shape it uniquely but it must remain solid throughout.

Overlay may have a singular break on the body, allowing a split between the body and face portions of the marking.

Overlay can be any color provided it is natural in appearance to the design in question.

The marking must remain symmetrical.

Overlay can be two toned, but it should be a subtle nuance! (Within a ~10 point color change)

OVERLAY GUIDELINES

Overlay has a minimum requirement.

In order to pass overlay must be present in the red range in some way, it does NOT need to cover the entire range. Overlay cannot be present in the grey ranges as they are an illegal marking range.

Take notice that the examples below each have the required red range present on each good example of overlay. Here is three examples of overlay that would not only meet the requirements but also pass through the nook with ease. Each example shows a solid marking of overlay.
