Sorry for the lack of participation here these past months. The usual misadventures/misfortunes of yours truly continue continue on, with not much change. Oh, there have been a few rays of sunshine here and there, the one being that coming February of 2019 I should have my full 30 years in my railroad job to qualify for full retirement with benefits pending the usual approval of the railroad retirement board, so hopes are high that these will be certified and I will receive the exact date I can finally walk away and start living life as a free man again without being constantly on call and working nights. Believe me, when you work for a railroad, you'll make good money, but you'll also pay a heavy price when it comes to having any free time, so when the day comes that I make my last run, it will be like walking out of prison. Not to be a downer to those looking to enter railroading as a career, but take this friendly advice: Keep railroading as a hobby, never as a job. So much has changed in this industry that with all the government regulations implemented on employees and now personal fines that the Federal Railroad Administration can put on you isn't worth enduring the mental anguish or a possible hefty fine. If you need to be around trains, go to a museum and volunteer to restore and be a part of a group of like-minded enthusiasts that share a love for it. It won't be any money, but at least you'll be able to enjoy this without the hassles of any officials giving you hell.
Well, that's off my chest. Thank you for the time to listen to me whine (apologies to the guys in Green Day for borrowing a line from their song Paranoid).
Anywho, hope all here is doing good for the most part. I noticed I have been here for almost 11 years and going through my friends list, I noticed how a lot have left either by life changes or boredom. Still, it was good to see a few from the earlier days still hanging around, still Kim Possible fans or branching out artwise in other areas that now turn them on. Speaking of Kimmie, mighty glad there will be a live-action movie based on them, but hoping the characters will kinda look and fit with what the cartoon characters were and not be PC'd to death, but will wait for it to come out. Just waiting to see what Bon Bon looks in real life will be a kicker if she is what I hope she will be!
My unfinished art still remains that. Unfinished. I need to make it a priority to get back into art once I have my free time. It's so frustrating looking at it sitting on my art table collecting dust and I can't get myself motivated to do anything with it with what is going on around me. I still love art. I still love manga and anime. I want to be a part of the fun again with it and in here again like it was all those years ago. To all those that leave me notes asking about my well being and when I plan to start drawing again, I thank you for your kindness and patience. Keep enjoying what you are doing and continue to grow and improve with every new art you create. Maybe soon, it will be the same with me as well.
See ya around!
