I see your image; it faintly floats
secretly amid the dust motes.
Across the room, they slowly drift,
and as the light begins to shift,
your form has color. How you shimmer!
Do my tears make you brightly glimmer?
Through unfocused orbs, I cannot tell
whether you wish me ill or well.
Not a word do you utter,
as I watch you shudder,
and disappear into the air,
but I know that you were there
before the sun moved through the sky,
I held you with stars in my teary eye.
secretly amid the dust motes.
Across the room, they slowly drift,
and as the light begins to shift,
your form has color. How you shimmer!
Do my tears make you brightly glimmer?
Through unfocused orbs, I cannot tell
whether you wish me ill or well.
Not a word do you utter,
as I watch you shudder,
and disappear into the air,
but I know that you were there
before the sun moved through the sky,
I held you with stars in my teary eye.

A Girl and Her Dragon
Chapter 3 – A Place to Heal the Heart
By J.C. Solis
Though the cave was nice and cool for someone to try and get a comfortable rest in, Serena just could not bring herself to fall asleep all that well. The trauma of the previous days has left the poor girl in a daze and confusion. When she woke up she expected her mother to be by her side, with the gentle and caring woman caressing her daughter after hearing the horrible screams and shouts that the girl gave throughout the night – desperate for her to find comfort in someone whom she was close to. She expected to wake up in her room, to see the sunrise and the start of a new day of chores and play to take hold, of her to be back in her usual life of bliss and happiness.
But this morning would not be that morning, nor would it ever be a morning like that ever again. On opening her eyes, Serena was faced once again with the cold and hard reality of her situation. She was in a dark cave

In Memoriam
We parted ways
without
goodbyes,
unaware that
tomorrow,
like forever and
always,
was just another
saccharine deception.
Now I wander
the desolate barrows
of your memory,
desperate
to bury the emptiness
left behind
with the sorrow
and shame
I shovel
each
and
every day
from inside
this hole
I cannot stop
digging
until
it's deep enough
to drown myself
in its cold, hard earth.
In memoriam Lucas Blair Dembicki,
my brother from a different mother,
my twin who looked nothing like me.

A sorry caution
A sorry caution
"Sorry" can be overused,
lose its meaning.
Be abused.
Not said with real and true intention.
As if just mumbled in passing mention.
Not honestly felt
and with heart.
When excuse-invention,
is the art.
Yet a sorrow show of regret
and meaningful apology,
can also sound and receive
like marvellous melody.
Ease the pain and not in vain.
Make close again friends, and make amends.
It is in that sense like a flame or flare,
caution, please: handle with care.

I like the rhyminess. It reminded me of vacuuming at first then voids in general. I think I may have some type of love allergy too.
