I was drawn to the pose of this picture, the slopped shoulders show waiting, sadness...or hope? I cannot tell, so mixed are the emotions. I change my mind about this photograph every time I study it. Is the figure in the photograph waiting for marriage (June being the month of marriage), or is it a biological clock--the need to trandsend childhood and step into the adult word? At first glance this picture appears simple, but so things are woven into it that give it a balanced elegance.
