My Bio

Name's Charlie, or Char if you're afraid of multiple syllables.  I mostly draw digital art centering around my original characters, fan characters, and ARPG characters (most of whom are anthropomorphic cartoon animals). I enjoy showing my character's personalities and struggles through a series of different drawings. I use Paint Tool SAI, Paint.NET for edits and some effects, and a mouse because I don't feel like learning how to use a tablet. Outside of drawing, I enjoy singing, playing Ukulele, playing The Elder Scrolls games, D&D, and singing Big Iron out of order.

I don't take requests.

I'm not currently open for commissions.

I only do art trades with friends.

Have a tolerable day!

Hi Charlie, It’s been awhile, huh?

I don’t think I’ve ever left a message like this but I found myself thinking about you and just, Felt the need to, I suppose.

I remember back when my dad had told me you were in hospice care, and that I knew what that meant. But seeing all these comments on your profile, it finally just, solidified the fact in my mind that you’re really… gone. I’ve experienced so many deaths throughout my life that sometimes I feel a bit numb to it, but when I think of you, there’s just this, heaviness.

I think back to when we went to school together, and I never thought too much about it at the time but you really were one of my first friends when I first started going there. I remember when we would sit at those old, worn down benches and draw together during recess. The same spot where we started our first ever art collab, the one where we drew all our ocs in silly onesies. I searched for the digital version on your account, it’d been so long since I last saw it. I really hope I still have the physical version somewhere. You really helped me feel comfortable at that school.

I think I’ll always regret that I let myself grow distant from you. You were such an amazing friend and I can only wish that I had been a better one to you. The last message you had ever sent me was from 2018, a happy birthday message where you said you’d draw me a gift. I never replied. I don’t know why I didn’t. God, what I would give to go back in time and sent one more message to you, to share one more conversation. I can’t, and I know that. Suppose it’s just a nice thought.

This turned out a lot longer than I intended. You were a great person and I’ll forever cherish every moment we spent together. Rest easy, Char. I’ll miss you <3

It’s been a while since we last spoke, and I just learned about your passing through the Meadowheart Playhouse Discord.

I wished we had spoken a bit more before I drifted away from Creature Crossing and Deviantart as a whole.

I admired your art and your characters, and most of all Pepper and her little family.

Rest easy, Char. Godspeed.

Hey Char, I know it's been well over a year now. Just wanted to let you know we still miss you everyday. Drawing and writing characters just isn't the same without you <3

Rest in Peace buddy

Rest easy Char, love ya man. Hope you're at peace now and thanks for all of the memories. You mean so much to so many people, you'll never be forgotten.

I... oh gosh...

I didn't want to believe it at first. Seeing all the comments on your profile saying you passed away... I thought people were misinformed, I refused to believe...

But after so much research, I have to accept it... shit, Charry... it's been so long since we last talked. I will always remember you for the incredible friendship we had all those years ago.. how you and Mac helped me develop Furball into who he is today, the countless fun and silly ideas we had with character development, the thousands of messages we'd always share... despite our friendship growing distant in recent years, I always cherished you as a buddy and I feel devestated knowing I never talked with you in so long before your.. passing.

Rest in Peace, Charry. I hope you're watching over me and your other friends and family in Heaven.

I haven't been active on dA in a while, but for the time I was you were an amazing friend! I always admired your art and the skills you had at creating the most inventive and visually stunning characters.

Thank you for being part of the Whistler Crest family. Rest easy now.

Rest easy, Char. I regret not knowing you more. Your presence will never be forgotten
