My little collection of stones and shells, which
are in my garden. I think they look even more
beautiful after it has rained on them :heart:

to thank each one of you individually for any comments
or faves, but I hope you will understand and accept
my heartfelt thanks here instead :heart:

oh, yes - so many beauties... :D
i collect mainly stones with my daughter... i must admit i sometimes cheated when i wanted to take a photo, just sprinkled some water on them, fake rain, haha... :D
but i also like the smell of stones after the rain... it's fresh and somewhat dusty at the same time... :D

Haha yes, I think many people 'cheat' and spray water, nothing wrong with that though, it's the end photo that counts :D
I love all kinds of rocks and stones, and shells too, they all fascinate me, and even though I've had my shells for years, when it rains, I can still get a faint salty smell of the sea...wonderful :):)

yepp... :D
oh, the smells... that reminds me of a little story... some years ago we were at the coast visiting my hometown and also went into a little souvenir shop... you know, buy some postcards and little somethings to bring home... there was a girl holding a big snail shell to her ear - "papa, but i don't hear the sea in this one!" she looked disappointed and a bit puzzled... the papa murmured some lame explanation to her... i was curious and took that shell myself - it looked pretty real, but - was made of plastic... questions??? :D :D :D

Haha, that's a funny story, though I think I'd have been tempted to tell the girl that the tide was probably out :giggle::giggle:

oh, you give me the keyword to another little story... very long ago, when i still lived on the coast, they had these sort of small telescopes... you put in one coin and can look for sveral minutes... then there were three guys, tourists, a little older than me, looling at the sea, terribly disappointed that there was no water... ebb tide... they were complaining loud about that shitty place... i heard it and told them to throw a coin in the slot of that telescope - then the water would come... believe it or not, they actually thought about it for a moment, haha... :D
