Dwight D. Eisenhower, as he appears in Junction. (Sort of.) I wanted a portrait of him for one of the areas in Junction but, while his official White House portrait is in the public domain, I thought it would stand out too much to just drop it in. So instead I made my own version of it. It is not traced, as the many flaws should demonstrate. Not sure I quite captured his likeness; he seems to have a bit of Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush in him here...

Painted in Photoshop.

I love your use of colours in this, that touch of blue in the blurry background makes it for me :)

I can't take too much credit for it: most of the color is taken from the original James Anthony Wills painting. He did the background very roughly in contrast to the subject and it has all these speckles of bluish-green in the corners. I'm not actually that fond of his color choices personally, but I have to say that trying to emulate it has given me an appreciation of how he went about it that I didn't have before.

Even if it was based on somebody else's work, translating traditional art to digital art is not an easy task and you pulled it off quite well in my opinion.
I actually love the blueish stains in there, they balance the warmth of the other colors way and frame the picture nicely.
Impressive work!

I've honestly never gotten the hang of traditional painting myself; mixing and matching colors makes my head hurt. I have a great deal of respect for those with the skill to do it.
