We dont want to wake anyone. Not Him. Not Them.They haunt me, you know, crazy shadow people scratching at my walls. Momma says it's all my imagination. "There's no such thing as shadow people." She smiles with tight lines around her eyes and tucks me in. A kiss upon my brown hair covered head then she turns out the light and closes the door.I use to have a night light but Daddy said I was "too old for that shit." I don't think Momma told Daddy about the shadow people....
