I present to you, "Duality". It might be the piece I've been most happy with EVER.
Spent a shitton of hours on this, and mostly I only used my hands to paint with.
The reason for this; I've broken my right wrist several times (I'm righthanded) so holding a paintbrush or a pencil isn't something I handle very well... The result was a more "hands-on" approach, and this is the outcome.
Oh, this was also my "Main Work" in Arts of my (original) final year at High School, and I got a pretty good grade on it as well. The task given to us was "Self portrait", and since I kinda suck at that... I decided to take a more "psychological" approach to the picture, and what I partly remember jotting down as the Artists' Comment was something along the lines of 'this painting represents the internal struggle between passion & reason, logic & creativity, mind & feelings.' So yeah, it's a pretty darn personal portrait, and it's kinda been an important part of me getting well from depression and so on.
