Keira's way of fighting the bored away
On a bright sunny day, far from any main land, within the depths on the ocean waves, a humanoid being, one with a fish tail replacing it’s legs, seemed to be laying on a rocks. It was a mermaid, but on that looked bored out of her mind. Her arms folded on the rock as her head sat on top of her arms, her posture was a mix of relaxation, but also anxious, her light purple and teal colored tail and long straight hair simply swayed in the ocean currents. But her face wore this look, like there was nothing to do, and she couldn’t think of anything else to do. After a long time of just listening to the movements in the water, she could...

OCs Then and Now: The Pedestal of Attention...
[Official Title: The Pedestal of Attention... if memory is correct] Looking at it, this is more of an extension of the last one, Addiction and Procrastination. Why? Well it's one of the reasons for this side of the.... what's the best way to put it other than attention... selecting? Showcasing? Idk for sure. What I DO know and that many other people know is that I hold certain characters above others, which isn't always a good thing. Doesn't help that I have 300+ characters, and a LOT of them don't get the same spotlight as they use to or.... ever had. So, what's the reason for this? Well, it's simple, favortism (GOING ALL THE WAY BAC...

OCs Then and Now: Addiction and Procrastination
As i'm writing it, it's late but I got nothing else really going on and everything is pretty quiet, so let's go; and rather than tackle one thing, I wanted to do 2 because of how they relate to each other.
First of, the addiction, and this isn't an editable or drinkable addiction. This kind of addiction is not really know to some people, and sort of died down/out in other places: an RP Addiction. AS I SAY THIS, I have many RPs that I have not gotten to due to one thing or another. But this addiction is there and it's is a tight grip. What often happens is I drop everything and just focus on the RP until it's finish in certain ...
Hi mommy! I was wondering a couple thingsI remember you adopting me when my real mommy and daddy died.
You were so happy and took me in like I was one of your own.
Then your real kids came home and left me behind but still being under the same roof.
Mommy, Do you still love me?I remember during a thunder storm, and I was crying out of fear.
The bright light and loud crackle scared me when I was younger.
And during it, I heard a bang on your wall, and then I heard your voice.
You said, "Just Shut UP!" then going back to your room.
Since then, when I hear thunder, I go under my bed to avoid it.
But, recently I wondered...
Mommy, Do you still...

OCs Then and now: Trauma, The Ultimate Judgement
(PLEASE NOTE: This is in reference to how I develop my fictional characters. I understand that there's a lot of traumatic experiences that people have experienced and has greatly effected them. This little essay is not to make fun of, down-play, or to present a harsh light on those who have been effected by such events. And yes, I did make this warning out of fear people won't understand or take these points for fictional characters and apply it to how I think about real world situations, especially given the hurricane destruction that happened recently as of making this personal "essay". Thank you for reading this.) Have you heard of a...

OCs Then and Now: 365 flavors of mediocraty
Years ago when I got my first bunch of adopted characters, I pledged to get up to 365 Characters, one for each day of the year. Cut to today, I now have 310+ characters and growing per week, a range of many different characters with their own lore. The problem is many factors, the big one being they aren't fleshed out... like bare bones at best for most. Some having really good writing and others sounding like it's written by a teenager who is still working out some of the kinks. The majority of characters also need updating and that usually happens slowly, or a nuke of rebooted changes. Mage is one of those characters that has been...
