The Eldritch were presumably some of the first intelligent lifeforms in the universe. Little is known about them and no images have ever been found depicting them. They reportedly resided in the 'pocket dimension' known as the warp, had nigh unlimited power over its tidal forces of vis & had played a considerable role in shaping the long since past empire of Avalon.

The actual first race recorded in the galaxy. Supposedly created because the Eldritch could not venture into the universe proper, these behemoths could barely be called lifeforms, and functioned more like a very advanced AI or golem. They had huge amounts of control over the powers of space-time and were revered as gods by later ancient races. The Akashic were responsible for the creation of the Nucleo, who they created because they themselves were almost incapable of complex emotion. Due to the nature of their creation they have long since went extinct.

Lets be honest, nobody understand the Ascendants. I can only give a basic description, but any species can also be an ascendant. Ascendants are immortal beings with greatly increased mental capacity & a nigh unlimited boost to lifespan. They come either from incidents regarding eldritch locations, or a 1-1,000,000,000 chance at birth, more common in Eldritch influenced races. We believe the Akashic had something to do with it.

The Nucleo are an interesting bunch, as their biological structure doesn't match with any sentient race (being built around an Aura node in place of a heart, sharing this trait with Silverwood trees of all things). The glowing floating parts are known as 'Sphaerum jets' and are excess vis, light, and heat energy from the reactions going on inside their body. They were supposedly created by the Akashic long ago. Also of note is that they breed and age very slowly, both physically and mentally. (reaching what we would call an adult intellect at around age 200.)

They are naturally nocturnal & have more difficulty seeing in brighter environments then not. Umbreis have built a culture around progress & constantly shifting ideological norms & scientific progress, as such they tend to create a lot of divides and as such a lot of infighting (the most important being the '99 years war', which helped form their intense love for firearms and militarism.

They actively reject violence in all forms even if it is necessary, and exile any criminals from their closed off planets. They will happily help in any non violent manner, and have proven to be some of the best doctors and medics in the galaxy. They are also very weakly psionic, capable of detecting very basic thoughts & feelings of individuals.

Their culture is very militarized & before being inducted into the EON was all about developing better and better ways to kill each other. (they would have presumably ended up nuking each other without extraterrestrial involvement)

In the past, they had been frivelous and uncaring of the flux virus, going so far as to facilitate its growth, as such a special 'geas' was placed on them that they would work tirelessly to defend the galaxy from such an event again. They are one of the most advanced races in the modern Galaxy, and control a vast majority of the Eldritch & Shantiri artifacts, as well as a list of most known flux infested worlds.

They have the ability to intune themselves with certain electronics, and the mental capacity to use this ability to control multiple devices at the same time. Altiri are extremely intelligent creatures for their lifespan, but also constantly suffer from trauma related to the memetic effects of eldritch technology.

Not much about them is known, but what we do know is that they came from some other galaxy running away from something, breathed nitrogen, and later evolved down into the Shantiri in order to breathe oxygen & otherwise survive. They were also innately psionic, and brought many of the other psionic races with them.

They are generally darker skinned humanoids with more feminine features & ears that blend in with their hair, as well as more catlike eyes than those who evolved from them. They were the primary owners of the Kelratan Imparj and were known to be extremely aggressive with their hold over the galaxy, controlling or enslaving every species they came across until some event came to pass that resulted in their wiping out. Modern Shantiri follow a mysterious leader known as 'the Eternal Queen', and are largely pacifistic & communal.

Their eyes also glow an intense cyan color. They alongside the Ratiosu are the founders of the Empire of Nations, and value order & peace intensely, but are also cannibals so thats cool.

Ratiosu are very large mammalian creatures seemingly related to some ocean mammal spliced with an Abyss walker, and as such their culture remains largely the same as their much shorter brethren.

All of whom are pretty xenophobic to other groups, the Shinsari less so.

Zetans are synthetic humanoids & powered by unknown means, but are always searching for external sources of power to sustain themselves. In Modern times they are one of the two races to create Zenotech, and the second strongest military force in their arm of the galaxy (not counting the Szachan).

Their civilization had long since collapsed into chaotic anarchy by their discovery by the Aerth confederation, and have thus been uplifted to the galactic stage, though attempts to civilize their savage & aggressive nature have failed, the Umbreis don't seem to mind that much, & happily throw them into battle. For some reason the Draco Menca have had a large supply of Eldritch-tier weaponry and were using them to kill each other in gang violence. They get along with other species than they do their own race, and tend to be much more polite to them too.

Their history predates most other modern species, and evolved/advanced very quickly, but some unknown cataclysm causedthem to stagnate & forced them back to an almost tribal state before the A.C. was formed. They are the only race in the confederation to prefer melee weapons to projectiles.

After the formation of Xenotech, a peace treaty between the two was established though they still fight under the table.

They are known for their remarkable charisma & intelligence, and how they have huge egos, overstating their ability.

They are of a below average intelligence & are loyal to their Skydwelling Brethren, but are quite strong for their stature. Most Skydwellers consider them unworthy of anything more than menial labor.

Aeromis are by far the largest species in the galaxy, hands down. They are silicon based lifeforms with metal Carapaces, and speak using morse code. In past times, they adapted themselves to this current appearance. The Aeromis apparentlyused to be a martial republic (democratic military controlled state) before the Aristocrat's revolt of 2023 forced the government into a more civil role, later being subsumed by a Corporate conglomerate known as 'Arocorp', that now has full control over all resources, with the former government in exile. 

Aeromis Minore (Telom e. radar)

They themselves are blind, and instead see through an advanced form of echolocation. They can do many tasks involving other species that their masters cannot, like talk & fit through doors.

Pyrothean (Mens crystallum)
