Canisters, Phials, Jars, oh my! But seriously...
Thaumcraft usually doesn't make sense. But sometimes it makes even less sense. The fact that little more than glass stands between you and the liquid essence of pure fire is astounding to say the least. Thus, I have made a series of containers from different resources for storing things! Lets begin from left to right:
Essentia Phial: You've seen it, you've made 10,000 of them. Three glass and a clay. It can properly store most types of vis, so long as its not super corrosive or hot.
Brass Essentia Flask: Made from alchemical brass, and highly resistant to corrosion, it can properly store essences such as venenum or perditio safely for use, as their brass makeup is specifically designed for work in alchemy.
Thaumium Essentia Beaker: Made from iron, brass, and specially tempered Thaumium, these can properly store energetic essences such as Ignis or Potentia without melting. We would advise at least using gloves or tongs with these beakers though, they can be hot.
Warded Jar: Its just the same jar as original thaumcraft. just with a nicer lid. Can hold everything the Phial can, but more!
TBD: I couldn't think of a design for the Brass variant. Oh well.
Thaumium Canister: Big canister that can't burn yes. Don't open this one, its kinda filled with flux.
Node Container: Because putting them in normal jars is stupid. ESPECIALLY hungry or tainted ones. This container is specially reinforced to hold a node and keep it in a form of 'stasis' to where while it is no longer generating vis, its also not losing it. Though this process can be faulty, and frequently leads to weakening nodes permanently. At least this one won't shatter into a million pieces upon opening. Please don't tap on the glass.

Phials: I never realize how many I got till I try to organize my mess of an inventory. Glad you put some limits to what they can store. It never felt right to store something volatile within some glass.
Brass flask: Sounds like a more sensible choice for something dangerous.
Thaumium beaker: Nothing needs to be said.
Warded jar: It actually seems to be warded, a detail I feel seems to be overlooked at times.
Thaumium canister: Large reservoir for dangerous essentia.
Node canister: Looks a lot better than the normal one. Does reminds me of my attempts to capture hungry nodes, and how many times I have gotten myself eaten by them. Got to admit that I would be the idiot that would tap the glass.
