Legate Marrion

Seeing as the local colonial militaries could not defend their trade, much less their own cities, the Dominion would assemble armies not gathered since the Silverwood Wars. Lord Marrion, a veteran of said war serving under Phonetix would be chosen for the task of leading this army. An Flare of incredibly jingoistic & obsessive sort, Marrion personally saw the aftermath of the Silverwood Wars, the massive flux infestations that came from it, and made it a personal goal to crush and destroy infestation wherever it cropped up. Originally accepted with a mild disinterest until it was found the Windrai were ritualistically consuming the blood of Flare and in turn infecting themselves with flux. Outraged at both such a horrendous and unsanitary practice, as well as what to him were obvious consequences, he was determined to crush this threat. Marrion was even said to have taken an oath to not return until every last infestation, be in Windrai or Flux, be stomped out.

Upon deployment, he quickly became a hero to the colonies, well loved and accepted by even the new sponsors of these colonies, the Parieton Collegium, even welcomed into its inner circle as a show of goodwill. Though, to the Windrai people, he became known as the Butcher of Toria, for his army regularly practiced total war and retributive punishments for their beliefs & practices. He oversee public burnings of captured prisoners, testing new technologies in battle, and gruesomely butchering any windrakes (the dragon's the Windrai based their beliefs off of) their armies would find, driving the species to near extinction.
