Eldritch Obelisk (Ancient era)

In the elder days when the Eldritch ruled the land, they made portals, known as obelisks on almost every (Habitable) planet in their dominion that led to strange and foreign dimensions. In these they built mighty cities and roads and even worlds to connect these portals. How they operate is mostly lost to history, though what we do know is it requires a lot of vis to operate, and requires 4 telemetric coordinators, each with a unique set of coordinate codes that would cause the portal to lead to a set location, breaking most of the rules even the modern Warp travel is forced to abide by. Many of these TC's were destroyed in an attempt to stop the spread of the flux plague from spreading into or out of their realm. These devices are powered mostly by a central aura node that seeps vis of an eerie vibe. Back in the day, these obelisks would be painted silver and gold, and bare the symbols of their creators, in honor of the Ecumene.

I wanted to give the Eldritch obelisk from Thaumcraft a makeover, showing more of its utility purpose as a portal network. They are super interesting and, well, eldritch structures that could fit both in an fantasy or scifi universe.
