Description
With a human for scale.
Aeromis biology and society in the past had heavily encouraged a caste system, where individuals would be born and literally molded into their role and place in society.
Pictured here is a size comparison between a 'military' Aeromis, being smaller (roughly ~15' tall), less resource intensive, and faster to reach maturity as compared to the 'civilian' Aeromis next to them who allowed their bodies to develop more naturally. (upwards of ~27' tall)
Nowadays, while there still remains pretty rigid barriers between classes, it is far less an issue of pure necessity than it is one of consumerism, as the new ruling class of Evasi are more interested in profit and catering to the whims of investors than the aggressive feudal kingdom of ages past. Aeromis appearance are highly more variable now, with different biological castes having the same augments or working alongside one another. A heavily commercialized cybernetics industry allowing for heavy customization and 'fashion', though we humans likely have a far different sense of what is fashionable to these gigantic aliens. It is quite luckily their regime changed nearly a thousand years ago, as they would have gone on with their visions of empire and feeding their superiority complex had it not. Oh, these lithoids still think they are the best thing in this galaxy, but at least they are not militant about it.
