Bison Prarie

For the first time since May, I bring another wildlife illustration!

This time from the great plains of North America, a Bison herd quietly grazing on the grasses within their range.

Based off of photos another one of my coworkers took while out there in the plains, he wanted me to capture their essence. I hope it's been achieved!

This is probably the most dynamic sky I've illustrated, where it's instead an overcast-ish day rather than fair weather clouds here and there. This helps when I have barely any blue pencils to use for the more open skies I usually do.

You may also notice the seam in the center, this is actually two 9 X 12 arts combined together into one 9 X 24 in canvas. I wanted to convey the vastness of the plains by making it more lengthy horizontally.
