And there goes another year... what the heck happened? I blinked once or twice and, wooosh
, there it goes!
2018 was a good year. Lots of good things happened this year--a few bad things, too--but mostly good things. I didn't make as much art this year as I did last year, but I still ended the year with a hot 19 pieces; I'm really proud of a lot of them. I feel like I really started to develop my own sort of style, an accomplishment that I've been chasing for the better part of three years.
I'm also really proud of the work I completed for ATG (Artist Training Ground) this year. Most years I draw a few half-hearted pieces and give up a few days in. This year, I still managed to give up a few days in, but I actually really tried to produce some quality pieces within strict time constraints. I really like the white background theme I went with for most of the ATG pieces.
But then in Fall, well, I really fell off the face of the globe, didn't I? Turns out managing an art page and also going to college is completely unsustainable. Needless to say, I prioritized school over horses, and I'm probably going to continue to prioritizing school over horses, unfortunately. I have small bits of time between homework and sleeping, but, to be quite honest I'd much rather spend that time vegging on the couch.
However, I don't feel right not drawing things for this community. My Little Pony has been a part of my life for over four years now, and I'm not going to just drop it. So, I'm going to be drawing things this coming year. I can't promise when, or what. But I'll be around.
Thank you all for another wonderful year. Kisses for everyone.
