There is so much I would love to do with your models, but you've already done the exact shots I'd want to do and you've done them far better than I could! You do amazing work.

Seeing as this image is in excess of two years old at this time, I find it curious that I must now, with apologies, be the one to point out one small mistake...Chang's special BoP fired red torpedoes...

This is incredibly cool.
Love it, from the concept down to details like the underside of the Enterprise being illuminated by the explosion...

Chang is my second favourite Trek villain, right after Khan.
Kelso323's avatar
Chang was not a villain, he was a fundamentalist...
thefirstfleet's avatar
He was indeed, I meant villain in the sense of "the movie's antagonist".

For those of you other then Me and Dave that don't know, The bird of Prey really does decloak for a brief moment as the torpedo fires, my speculation is that it's a momentary power dip due to two systems (Weapons and Cloak) that use a lot of power which causes the cloak to fail for a moment as the torpedo fires, hence why a cloaked ship has to drop the cloak before they can fire.
as I said, Just speculation

"But a Bird of prey cannae fire when she's cloaked!" (Scotty) :D

'makes me want to watch the movie!

'love the cloaking effect..is that done as part of the render? 'or in photoshop?
'if the latter would love an 'idiot's guide' ;)

Thank you very much!

It's PS, and I might do a tutorial someday. The thing is, it's mostly random things, how I make the cloaking effects :D
