I've been noticing a lot of people jumping ship to Cara lately and I thought I'd weigh in with my thoughts and what I will be doing with my artwork going forward.
Cara is a very very young platform that does not have any stable source of funding secured and its expenses are ballooning rapidly. I detest AI and I 100% understand the people who badly want to jump to a new platform that isn't choked with AI and money-grubbing "features" but I am not confident enough in Cara to migrate my portfolio at this time. Assuming Cara is sticking around for the long haul and I join them, I will still upload to DA and interact with people here.
My primary platforms remain ArtStation and my own website.
Heya everyone! Just a heads-up that uploads may be delayed for a bit. I've been commissioned for numerous pieces and that will be keeping me busy for awhile.
Just a little teaser of what I'm working on currently! I bought a 1972 vintage calculator at a thrift store a couple weeks ago and restored it back to working order. I decided to model it in Blender as a cool asset project, and this is part of what I'm working on right now: the tubes!
I got approved on Displate and they've accepted my first round of uploads! They have stricter upload requirements than other print services I've used so not all of my work will be available there, but I got some to start with.
You can find the link to my Displate store here!
Just dropping a quick note to let people know that I'll be away for a week-ish! I'm visiting my family for the holidays and won't be working on any projects until I get back.
Happy holidays to those that observe and a lovely week to those that don't! 💜
